Scott is with a group of highschoolers in rural West Virginia with ASP (Appalachia Service Project) this week. They have no cell service at all where they are, so communication has been tough. I imagine on one hand it must be wonderfully freeing to be outside the reach of cell phones....Anyway, so far, Scott said work has been hard but fulfilling. All I know about the work is that some are digging trenches. But, blessedly, the weather has been pretty mild. Scott said that although it was hot yesterday in the sun, it wasn't humid and it was actually cool in the morning.
Keep all of the adult leaders in your prayers (Cathy, Karen, Kim, Vaughn, Bill, Rick, and Scott). I'm sure they'll all have wonderful stories to tell when they get back.
